The Soul's Journey
Every soul's on a journey
Every soul incarnates for the same reason: learning lessons and expanding its consciousness. The saying that we're all spiritual beings having a human experience goes down to the simple fact that we come here to learn and evolve internally, rather than just exist and hoard possessions. One of the biggest challenges we face during an incarnation journey is developing egoic attachments that keep us stuck in conventional ideas about physicality, money, or status.
At its core, the soul's journey is about using our external reality to mature internally, not the other way around. While the experience of the 3D aspects of an incarnation such as our physical bodies, our health, our sexuality, our finances, and even our fashion choices are important vehicles for our soul's development (especially if a soul's essence is focused on self-expression or creativity), incarnating isn't dwelling on these things for their own sake.
Every soul has a unique essence
Every soul is a unique expression of Source energy. We're all equals, but we're also very different at our core. All souls who are incarnated at the same time are here to learn unique lessons and make a very specific contribution to humanity and the lives of others. If one soul is missing, a piece of the Universe is missing and the Divine plan is being derailed. Depending on how important a soul is for the collective, derailing or erasing one soul and its essence can mean derailing the entire course of a family line, a community, a city, a nation, or even humanity as a whole.
Every person who is currently incarnated has an individual and irreplaceable authentic essence. A soul's path is a journey of self-development and emotional maturing, even for those of us who aren't overtly invested or interested in these ideas. With every incarnation, the soul grows more into itself by interacting with other souls and aspects of life. The dynamic interplay between the differences and commonalities between souls is often one of the most important aspects of a soul's journey.
Past life karma, free will, and soul contracts
While a soul's incarnation journey is extremely complex, it can be broken down into 3 basic aspects: past life karmic patterns that are either deepened or healed, a soul's destined path based on its goals for expansion, and a soul's relational contracts with other souls. The often tremendous complexity of an incarnation journey goes back to these 3 aspects of the soul's path being highly intertwined.
While the soul chooses conditions like historic timelines, countries, genetics, gender (or gender misplacement/fluidity), privileges, and even early traumas/health issues or socioeconomic disadvantages before they incarnate, everything else is up to free will and the law of cause and effect. A soul's use of free will doesn’t just play out as choosing between two or more equal options, but also as choosing to align with growth over regression.
Choosing stagnation, regression, or growth
Unfortunately, many souls stay stuck in old karmic loops and soul contracts, while ignoring or sabotaging their potential for alignment with higher timelines, partners, and thus their ability to heal and expand. Often, these misaligned choices go back to an unwillingness to face ego wounds and limiting ideas about self and others. If a soul fails to resolve their attachments to such outdated narratives, it will often choose the familiar over the unfamiliar and miss out on expanding their consciousness.
These series of choices can create a toxic cycle that unfolds during the course of one incarnation and create lots of karmic debt in the form of unlearned/unintegrated lessons as well as over several incarnations. Recreating and deepening karmic debts is often common in soul clusters that entail one or only a few older souls and many younger souls who lean on the older souls without ever doing their own work.
